One of my strongest beliefs as a communicator is to act with integrity & as a leader to be true to yourself & your values.
I have worked in communications for over 19 years & achieved my first directorship at 34. I have always benefited from investing in my own development, especially at the points in my journey when wanted to progress my career & move into more senior roles.
There have been many times when the support of a mentor has been invaluable, whether in considering the next steps in my professional development or managing challenging issues. Knowing the positive impacts mentoring has had for me inspired me to mentor others.
I truly believe that with commitment, dedication & support you can achieve what you desire in your career.
Seeing others achieve their goals brings me joy. Being in someone’s corner, having their back, providing guidance based on my professional experience & supporting others by drawing on the highs (& lows) of my own experience is so fulfilling.
I believe in the power of collaboration. The support of others has been important in enabling and empowering me to step outside of my comfort zone, say yes to new opportunities & to better understand what I want to achieve both professionally & personally.
